3 Day, Evening or Distance Learning course
The 17th Edition Wiring Regulations course including Amendment 3 covers the wiring regulations for electrical installers, and associated trades within or linked to the electrical trade. Amendment 3 was released in January 2015 and becomes effective in July 2015 and as a result EAL and City and Guilds have updated their course to cover the updates.
The course is the recognised qualification in the implementation of these standards and helps prove that those holding the qualification are compliant with the standards.
This 17th Edition course aims to assist practicing electricians and those looking to work and develop their skills within or associated with the electro-technical industry. You will study the latest standard of the IEE wiring regulations, including essential subjects such as safety, selection and erection of electrical equipment.
The classroom-based course will teach candidates how to reference the 17th Edition Regulations for situations that will be encountered whilst completing electrical installations. For those candidates who wish to complete the course via distance learning all knowledge based elements of the course will be forwarded to the candidate along with some practice questions to give an example of the type of questions likely to be levied during the online exam.
The course follows 8 key modules, as follows:
- Scope, Object and Fundamentals
- Assessment of General Characteristics
- Selection and Erection of Equipment
- Special Installations or Locations
- Protection for Safety
- Inspection and Testing
Although there are no pre requisites with this course, it would be beneficial to the attendee to have some electrical installation knowledge and practical experience.
